Trophée Chopard salutes talented actors at Cannes FestWorld | 21 May 2019 7:19 pm
The Trophée Chopard committee has recognized British actress Florence Pugh and French actor François Civil with the prestigious award at Cannes Film Festival.
During a dinner hosted at the Agora by Pierre Lescure, president of the Cannes Film Festival, Thierry Frémaux, and Caroline Scheufele, Co-President and Artistic Director of Chopard, Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi, 'godmother' of the Trophée Chopard 2019, presented both winners with their trophies.
Created in 2001 on the initiative of Caroline Scheufele, the Trophée Chopard rewards two up-and-coming talents in international film-making. This year, the Trophée Chopard was part of the official calendar of the 72nd Cannes International Film Festival.
Former laureates, such as Marion Cotillard and Léa Seydoux, were in the audience.
Zhang Ziyi shined on the red carpet in a pair of diamond earrings in 18 carat white gold and a diamond ring in 18ct white gold, from the Garden of Kalahari Collection.
Florence Pugh sparkled in a pair of earring from the Precious Lace Collection featuring diamonds and sapphires and a parrot ring in 18ct yellow gold featuring two oval shaped citrines.
