At least four people were killed and 87 others injured as of 9:00 a.m. today after the roof of a night bar collapsed yesterday in the city of Baise, southern Guangxi, Xinhua reports.

The injured are in stable condition, according to the regional emergency management department.

A total of 23 people have been summoned by local police for investigation and seven have been detained.

The bar, with an area of 700 square meters, is located on the top floor of a three-story steel-framed building.

On Thursday, a building being refurbished collapsed in Shanghai, and in March, 78 people were killed in a blast at a chemical plant in Jiangsu province.

In November, at least 22 were killed in an explosion outside a chemical plant in the northeastern city of Zhangjiakou, which will host events in the 2022 Winter Olympics.
