Elderly minibus driver jailed for woman's death

A minibus driver, 64, who had pleaded guilty to a count of dangerous driving causing death has been sentenced at District Court today to eight months of imprisonment.

He was accused of fatally knocking down a woman who wore a prosthesis on her right leg, on the Yuen Long Highway towards Tuen Mun in Yuen Long on April 26, 2018. She had left her private car to talk to a van driver following a collision.

The man's driving license was suspended for five years.
