About 6.68 million people will pass through sea, land and air control points during the labour day break from Tuesday to May 5, the Immigration Department said today.
About 82 percent, or 5.48 million, will cross land boundary control points. Arrivals via land boundary control points will peak on Wednesday at about 595,000, while departures will peak on May 4 at about 543,000.
About 1.58 million, or a daily average of 263,000, are expected to travel via Lo Wu, which would make it the busiest control point.
