China’s Belt and Road Initiative is driving demand for skilled staff as headcounts increase within finance teams in Hong Kong, a survey found.
There is demand in particular for finance managers and accountants, the annual study developed by recruitment consultancy Robert Half, found.
The Robert Half Salary Guide was done in January 2019 by an independent researcher, surveying 75 chief financial officers in Hong Kong.
Robert Half has identified the top three financial positions in demand in Hong Kong this year as finance manager, finance accountant, and financial planning and analysis manager.
The average annual salary of a finance manager in a small or medium company ranges from HK$480,000 to HK$600,000, and HK$600,000 to HK$720,000 in a large company, the survey shows.
A finance accountant is paid between HK$291,000 and HK$387,000 in a small or medium company or HK$324,000 and HK$431,000 in a large company. A financial planning and analysis manager earns HK$410,000 to HK$720,000 in a small or medium company or HK$600,000 to HK$960,000 in a large company.
