Seven retailers who are importers have been ordered to halt from sale 562 packs of tea-light candles of eight models that did not carry bilingual warnings or cautions, Hong Kong Customs said.
While tests confirmed that they complied with the relevant safety standard, the tea-light candles were suspected to be in contravention of the Consumer Goods Safety Regulation, because they did not have bilingual warnings or cautions on safe keeping, use, consumption or disposal.
