(New Zealand shootings) PM Jacinta Ardern laments dark dayWorld | 15 Mar 2019 11:15 am
New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinta Ardern says the police do have one suspect in custody. "However there could be others involved. Also there are multiple scenes involved in this incident as well," Ardern said.
"It is clear that this is one of New Zealand's darkest days."
"This is an extraordinary and unprecedented act of violence."
Ardern says many of those in the mosque were likely to be migrants - but they were "us" - New Zealanders. The shooter was not, she says.
"There is no place in New Zealand for extreme violence."
