The Secretary for Food and Health Sophia Chan Siu-chee said today that the patient transfer plan of non-emergency patients under the Greater Bay Area framework is for Hong Kong people who live in the area.

"Throughout the year, those Hong Kong people who live in the Greater Bay Area have expressed a need for having better and facilitated transportation [of non-emergency Hong Kong patients]. It is just to explore how this could be taken forward," she said.

RTHK reported that the chairman of Hong Kong Patients' Voice, Alex Lam, said on its radio program this morning what is being proposed in the blueprint is confusing and he urged the government to clarify it.
