HK blue chips sag, China stocks rally

Hong Kong blue chips went into the break today in the negative column. The Hang Seng Index was down by 0.23 percent, or 63.63 points at 28,009.95.

Tencent Holdings (0700) rallied by 1.22 percent at

HK$349.80.

Chin stocks ended higher in the morning session.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index ended 0.83 percent higher at 2,639.96 points after opening 0.19 percent lower. The Shenzhen Component Index gained 2.28 percent at 7,859.24 points after opening 0.15 percent higher.
