Hang Seng falls, China stocks mixed

Stocks in Hong Kong continued losses from Friday. The Hang Seng Index was down by 0.07 percent, or 20.70 points at 27,925.62 at the open today, after closing lower on Friday, the first day of trading in the Year of the Pig.

And 10 minutes into trade, the HSI fell by 0.5 percent.

In Mainland China, stocks were mixed. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index was down by 0.19 percent to open at 2,613.17 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.15 percent higher at 7,695.17 points.

On Friday, the Hang Seng Index 27,933.26 was down marginally by 0.20 percent, or 56.95 points at the close.
