Stocks in Hong Kong were higher in morning trade today as regional equity markets advanced.
At midday, the benchmark Hang Seng Index rose 0.67 percent, or 172.28 points, at 25,798.31 while the China Enterprises Index, the H-share gauge, added 0.75 percent, or 75.38 points, at 10,105.03.
Furniture company Man Wah Holdings (1999) rose 4.47 percent to HK$3.04.
New China Life Insurance (1336) dived 7.57 percent to HK$28.1 on reports that its chairman will not continue in that role.
3SBio (1530) jumped 5.93 percent to HK$9.64 following the news that Samsung Bioepis granted its wholly-owned subsidiary exclusive licenses to the intellectual property rights for the clinical development and commercialization of multiple biosimilar candidates in the mainland.
