Hang Seng negative in half-day session

Blue chips were in the red after a half-day trading session in Hong Kong today. The benchmark Hang Seng Index shed 0.49 percent, or 126.83 points at 25,626.59.

The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index slid by 38 points, or 0.4 percent at 10,062.

In the morning, stocks fell by more than 1 percent.

In China, the Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index was up by 0.25 percent, or 6.27 points at

2,522.52.
