Couple accused of wages fraud

A former kitchen waste collector and his wife have been charged with conspiracy to defraud a cleaning company of wages totaling over HK$106,000 by falsely representing that she had worked as a kitchen waste collector for the company.

Lam Ping-cho, 60, who worked for Nixon Cleaning Company, and his wife Lu Wing-yin, 50, estate agent, face a joint charge of conspiracy to defraud, according to the Independent Commission Against Corruption.

They will appear at the Kowloon City Magistrates' Court for plea on Tuesday.
