Hong Kong blue-chips barely moved at noon after a choppy morning trading session. The benchmark Hang Seng Index inched up 0.04 percent, or 10.23 points, at 25,981.7.
Meanwhile, the China Enterprises Index, the H-share gauge, declined 0.72 percent, or 75.36 points, at 10,410.71.
Local beverage firm Vitasoy International (0345) spiked 5.81 percent to HK$27.30 after reported its interim net profit grew by 310.4 percent year-on-year to HK$518 million.
But Cosmetics retailer Sa Sa International (0178) slumped 8.86 percent to HK$3.19 despite its interim net profit rocketed 84.5 percent year-on-year to HK$203 million.
