An Indonesian domestic helper, 40, who faces a count of trafficking in a dangerous drug, has been remanded in custody after appearing at the West Kowloon Magistrates Court today.
On Thursday, Customs inspected an air mail parcel from Laos at the Hong Kong International Airport and found 3.6 kilograms of methamphetamine, worth about HK$1.7 million, concealed in six books. Officers arrested the suspect in Wong Tai Sin on Friday.
The case was adjourned until January 7, 2019.
