Axa Hong Kong has collaborated with the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation to design and launch the FirstCare Plus Medical Insurance.

There are five options on offer with an overall annual benefit limit from HK$250,000 to HK$5 million.

Yi Mien Koh, managing director, Health and Employee Benefits of Axa Hong Kong, said the plan provides full cover up to overall annual benefit limit within the Axa Signature Network.

The network is a medical platform with more than 400 medical practitioners and health care facilities from five local hospitals, including Gleneagles Hong Kong Hospital, Hong Kong Baptist Hospital, Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital, Matilda International Hospital, and Union Hospital.

Within the network, customers can make an appointment with registered doctors, then present the physical medical card or QR code to the selected health care facilities. After pre-authorization, they can enjoy cashless service.

Koh expects that the network hospital list will be extended to mainland China and other countries, excluding the U.S., next year.

The insurance plan covers cancer treatment and renal dialysis treatment up to the overall annual benefit limit. It also offers 10 percent family discount on the premium.
