A former and a serving foreman of a cleaning company were charged by the Independent Commission Against Corruption today with accepting a bribe from a cleaning worker for securing her position at a shopping mall and defrauding the worker of her partial salary respectively in two separate cases.

In the first case, Zhang Aihe, 36, former cleaning foreman of Nixon Cleaning Company, faces a bribery charge.

Zhang was a foreman of NCL, which was the cleaning service contractor of a shopping mall in Homantin.

He is accused of accepting a bribe of HK$1,400 from a woman for securing her position as a cleaning worker at the shopping mall.

In another case, Tsang Kei-tak, 54, foreman of NCL, faces a charge of fraud.

Tsang is accused of between July 28 and September 7, 2017, falsely representing to the woman, a cleaning worker of NCL with a monthly salary of HK$9,300, that she had to reimburse part of the salary because she was unable to operate a floor waxing machine. He induced the woman to pay to him HK$2,390.

The defendants will appear at the Kowloon City Magistracy on Monday for plea.
