Hong Kong's equality body will begin its search for a new head from tomorrow well ahead of the exit of
Professor Alfred Chan, whose term ends on April 10, 2019.
The Equal Opportunities Commission said today the job of the chairperson is open for applications from tomorrow. The advertisement for the post, which sets out details of requirements for potential candidates, will be published in newspapers tomorrow. Applicants should be Hong Kong permanent residents.
Under the Sex Discrimination Ordinance, the appointment authority rests with the Chief Executive.
