Cathay Pacific drops re-booking charges ahead of typhoon disruptions

Cathay Pacific Airways says it will waive charges for rebooking, rerouting and refunds for all tickets issued before yesterday to passengers flying into and from Hong Kong between Sunday, September 16 and Tuesday September 18 as a result of super typhoon Mangkhut.

Passengers who do not show up are not eligible for the waiver, Cathay Pacific says. The revised travel date must be on or before October 14, 2018 and subject to flight availability.

Cathay Pacific/Cathay Dragon say flights will likely deteriorate, with flight delays and cancellations expected at the weekend. Service resumption will possibly be slow after Mangkhut passes through, the airline says.
