HK keeps full-year growth forecast at 3-4pc

Despite the slowdown in second quarter growth, Hong Kong maintained its full-year forecast for real GDP growth at 3-4 percent.

In the first half of the year, the economy grew by 4 percent.

The deputy government economist said today, Hong Kong will continue to monitor closely external uncertainties and their implications for the local economy.

The latest forecasts by private sector analysts mostly range from 3.3-4 percent, averaging 3.7 percent, the government said.
