Salaries of civil servants should be revised by between 2.84 percent and 4.51 percent this year, a survey has recommended.

The Government's Pay Trend Survey Committee recommended today a 4.06 percent increase for senior civil servants.

Lower ranking staff were recommended an increase of 2.84 percent, while a 4.51 percent raise was proposed for those in the middle-ranks.

The Pay Trend Survey Committee is made up of representatives of the staff side of the four central consultative councils, the two independent advisory bodies (the Standing Commission on Civil Service Salaries and Conditions of Service and the Standing Committee on Disciplined Services Salaries and Conditions of Service) and government officials.
