China's US debt holdings climb to US$1.18 trillion

China increased its holdings of US Treasuries in February to US$1.18 trillion, up by US$8.5 billion, data from the U.S. Treasury department show.

China is America's largest foreign creditor, ahead of Japan, which held US$1.06 trillion, of U.S. bonds, bills and notes, up from US$1.07 trillion in January.-The Standard
