Three robbery suspects involved in grabbing HK$20 million worth of Japanese yen from five men on Carnarvon Road in Tsim Sha Tsui in the morning today have been arrested by police, media reports say.
It was reported that seven men carrying knives grabbed two suitcases with HK$20 million worth of Japanese yen in total at about 11:30am on Carnarvon Road. Two men were treated at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for injuries.
Later, police stopped a car carrying four suspects in Mei Foo. Three were arrested when trying to escape but one successfully fled.
The Transport Department said the fast lane of Kwai Chung Road Tsuen Wan bound near the area is closed to all traffic and only remaining lane is still available to motorists.
