Mercury expected to hit 22 degrees next Wednesday

Temperature next Wednesday could reach as high as 22 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature is expected to be 17 degrees Celsius, according to the Hong Kong Observatory's latest forecast.

The Cold Weather Warning is still in force and temperature tomorrow will be between 12 and 15 degrees Celsius.

The winter monsoon affecting the coastal areas of southern China will be replaced by an easterly airstream in the next couple of days, the forecasters said.

It will be relatively more humid over the coastal areas of Guangdong midweek next week and the weather will be generally fine with temperatures rising gradually over the region.
